Official Website Launch - Bataandiriya Temple, Ratnapura

On March 27, 2017, our team officially launched a website developed and sponsored for Bataandiriya Temple in the Hangamuwa area of Ratnapura District.

The project was undertaken following a request from Janaka Wakkumbura, Member of Parliament for Ratnapura District. Its main objectives were to share information about the temple's religious activities and support efforts to raise funds for a planned standing Buddha statue.

Through this initiative, we hoped to make modern information technology more accessible to a rural Buddhist temple, providing an online platform through which its religious activities and development needs could reach a wider audience.

The website was officially launched during a ceremony held at the temple, attended by Buddhist monks, local residents, Dhamma school teachers and children. Cultural performances by the children were also part of the occasion.

I sincerely appreciate the guidance of the temple's chief incumbent, Ven. Bataandiriye Sugathawansa Thero, and the warm welcome extended by the Dhamma school teachers and students. My thanks also go to Janaka Wakkumbura for connecting our team with this community project.

As a professional website designer and developer, I consider this initiative another meaningful opportunity to apply my technical knowledge and experience for religious and community benefit.

The value of this project extended beyond launching a website. It represented our effort to connect a rural religious institution with digital technology and support its future activities through the skills available to our team.
