Event Overview

On 12 December 2019, I attended the premiere of the Sri Lankan film U-Turn at the Majestic Cineplex in Colombo as an invited guest.

The premiere brought together actors, filmmakers, media representatives and other personalities connected with Sri Lanka’s film and entertainment industry. It also provided an opportunity to meet and interact with people working across different areas of the local cinema industry.

Significance in My Journey

My connection with Sri Lankan cinema extends beyond attending film premieres and industry events. Through Films.lk, I have been involved for many years in the documentation, preservation and digital promotion of Sri Lankan cinema and its history.

Participation in events such as the U-Turn premiere therefore represents another dimension of my long-standing involvement with the Sri Lankan film industry, complementing my work in digital archiving, film information preservation and online media.
