Meeting Mahinda Rajapaksa at Wijerama – 2018

On 1 June 2018, after attending a special function, I visited Mahinda Rajapaksa at his official residence in Wijerama together with my wife and son.

As we had come directly from the function, we were still dressed for the occasion. During the visit, we had an opportunity to speak with Mahinda Rajapaksa and take a few photographs together as a family.

The presence of my son made this meeting particularly memorable to me. Rather than remembering it only in connection with political activities, I also remember it as a personal family moment shared by the three of us.

Looking back at these photographs years later, they preserve not only a meeting with a former President, but also a small chapter of our family life in 2018. It remains a warm personal memory of a day my wife, son and I experienced together.
