A Happy Day with the Children of Wigton Estate

While spending time at Wigton Estate for the construction of the school building, the moments I shared with the children became some of the most memorable parts of the entire project.

On 22 July 2020, I bought ice cream for all the children living in the estate line community. It was a very simple gesture, but seeing how happy the children were made the moment very special. Their smiles and excitement are memories that have remained with me.

For me, the Wigton project was never only about constructing a building. The time I spent there also gave me an opportunity to interact with the children, see their community more closely, and share simple moments of happiness with them.

Among all the construction milestones recorded in the timeline of Hadawathinma Daruwanta 2, this small and joyful moment with the children remains one of my most affectionate personal memories.
