A Memorable Trip to Riverston with Team Members

On March 1, 2017, I joined fellow team members for a memorable excursion to Riverston, one of the scenic mountain destinations in Sri Lanka's Matale District.

Located in the Knuckles Mountain Range region, Riverston is known for its beautiful landscapes, forest-covered hills, distant mountain views, and refreshing highland climate.

During our visit, we spent time enjoying the natural surroundings and admiring the panoramic views of the mountains and valleys. We also captured several group photographs against the spectacular mountain scenery, preserving memories of our time together.

Although many of our regular team activities were associated with political involvement, community service, and organizational responsibilities, outings such as this provided an opportunity to spend time together in a more relaxed and informal environment.

The excursion allowed us to take a break from our usual commitments, enjoy the beauty of nature, and strengthen the friendships that had developed through our shared activities.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the visit was the opportunity to appreciate the peaceful mountain environment while sharing the experience with friends.

The photographs taken during the trip capture both the natural beauty of Riverston and the friendly atmosphere among our group members.

For me, this journey represents more than a visit to a scenic destination. It is also a reminder of the personal friendships and shared experiences that developed alongside my involvement in social and political activities.
