The First "Hadawathe Sihinaya" Computer for My Primary School

On 23 August 2020, the first computer under the Hadawathe Sihinaya Computer Project was presented to Sri Devamiththa Maha Vidyalaya in Dadigamuwa. A printer was also provided to support the school's educational and administrative needs.

This donation had a very personal meaning for me. Sri Devamiththa Maha Vidyalaya was the school where I received my primary education. Years after studying there as a young child, I had the opportunity to return and contribute something towards the education of another generation of students.

The occasion was even more meaningful because my son was also studying at the same school at that time. It therefore represented more than a donation of equipment to a school. For me, it connected two generations of my family through the same place of education.

Being able to give something back to the school where my own educational journey began, while my son was continuing his education there, made this one of the particularly meaningful milestones of the Hadawathe Sihinaya project.
