Receiving the Blessings of the Mahanayaka Thero at Asgiri Maha Viharaya

Before the official launch of "Mahawansa Pradeepikawa" on 16 May 2026, I wished to receive the blessings of the Maha Sangha for a work that represented nearly ten years of study, research and dedicated effort.

On 06 May 2026, I had the privilege of visiting the Asgiri Maha Viharaya in Kandy and meeting Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Mahanayaka Thero of the Asgiri Chapter. During the meeting, I respectfully presented "Mahawansa Pradeepikawa", explained the purpose behind the work and received his blessings.

The Most Venerable Mahanayaka Thero expressed his great appreciation for the book and its aim of presenting historical knowledge to a new generation through a carefully produced and high-quality publication. He blessed me with the strength and courage to continue creating works that could contribute to developing historical knowledge among younger generations.

Another particularly meaningful moment during the meeting was receiving a Buddha statue from the Most Venerable Mahanayaka Thero. With my wife and son also present on this occasion, the visit became not only an important milestone in the journey of "Mahawansa Pradeepikawa", but also a memorable moment for our family.

I respectfully wish the Most Venerable Mahanayaka Thero a long and healthy life, with continued strength and courage to carry forward his distinguished service to the Buddha Sasana.
