A Memorable Visit to Kanneliya Forest Reserve with Friends

On 30 August 2020, I visited Kanneliya Forest Reserve with my wife, Dinushi, and a group of friends.

Kanneliya, known for its rich biodiversity and tropical rainforest environment, provided a beautiful setting for a memorable day together. We explored forest trails surrounded by lush vegetation and enjoyed the natural beauty of the streams and waterfalls within the reserve.

During the walk, our group also listened to explanations from a forest guide, adding an educational element to the excursion and providing an opportunity to appreciate the importance of the forest ecosystem.

We captured several memorable photographs, including moments with Dinushi near a waterfall, pictures together along the forest trails, and scenes of our group exploring the reserve.

Beyond being a recreational outing, the visit strengthened my appreciation for Sri Lanka's natural heritage and the importance of protecting its forests. It remains a cherished memory of a day spent enjoying nature in the company of friends and family.
