The Waterman Environmental Systems (Pvt.) Ltd. (WESPL) website was designed and developed in 2006 by Isura Wickramarachchi as the official corporate website for one of Sri Lanka's leading water and wastewater treatment engineering companies.

Design & Structure

The website features a clean environmental-inspired corporate design, combining modern engineering presentation with natural visual elements. Rather than using heavy industrial graphics commonly seen on engineering websites during the mid-2000s, the design successfully balances technology with nature, reinforcing the company's commitment to environmental sustainability.

The homepage immediately captures attention with a large photograph of a water droplet resting on a green leaf, symbolising purity, environmental protection, and sustainable water management. This image establishes the company's environmental identity before visitors even begin reading the content.

The homepage is organised into clearly defined functional sections. A horizontal navigation bar provides quick access to the company's products, profile, clients, and contact information. The main content area introduces WESPL's background and engineering expertise, while a colourful service panel visually categorises the company's core business areas.
