Distribution of Books to Children in Kiriweldola Village

Date: 3 December 2022
Location: Kiriweldola Village, Deniyaya

Following the distribution of school supplies to the children of Bataandura Junior School on 3 December 2022, I also arranged to provide books to a group of children in Kiriweldola village, Deniyaya, following a request from Thilina.

The purpose of this small initiative was to provide the children with books that would be useful for their education. Thilina helped connect us with the local need by bringing the children's situation to our attention.

Rather than being organised as a large formal event, the books were distributed in a simple village setting. Reaching people where a genuine need exists and providing whatever assistance is possible has always been an important part of my community service activities. Being able to extend the day's educational support beyond the school and reach another group of children made this another meaningful part of the programme.
