On 21 December 2024, I spent some time in transit at Abu Dhabi Airport while travelling to my next destination. Although it was only a short stop between flights, it gave me an opportunity to relax and explore the modern surroundings of the airport terminal.

The terminal was particularly impressive for its spacious interior, contemporary architecture and extensive use of natural light. As the visit took place close to the festive season, a large golden seasonal display added a distinctive atmosphere to the terminal.

When living abroad, airports and transit stops gradually become part of the memories associated with different journeys. This short stay at Abu Dhabi Airport was one such moment from my travels in 2024, capturing a simple pause between one destination and the next.
