Absolute Stone

Project Description

The Absolute Stone Corporation website was designed as a professional online showroom for one of North Carolina's leading marble and granite fabrication companies. The objective was to present the company's expertise in natural stone, commercial projects, residential countertops, and showroom services while encouraging visitors to request quotations and visit the physical showroom. The company has continued to operate successfully for more than two decades, demonstrating the long-term value of its strong brand and services.

The website combined company information, product categories, project galleries, testimonials, and contact information into a clean corporate presentation that reflected the premium quality of the company's craftsmanship. The navigation structure made it easy for customers to explore different services while maintaining a professional appearance suitable for both residential and commercial clients.

Unique Design Concept (2006)

During 2006, most stone and construction websites relied on simple rectangular layouts with very little visual identity. This project introduced a far more modern presentation by combining large architectural photography, curved interface elements, and layered graphic compositions that guided visitors naturally through the page.

The most distinctive feature was the curved vertical image frame placed alongside the main banner, creating depth and movement instead of traditional square content boxes. The black and orange colour scheme reflected the elegance of granite and marble, while textured brush effects, custom gradients, and smooth transitions gave the site a premium showroom appearance.

The homepage was carefully divided into multiple information zones, including company introduction, product divisions, news updates, and commercial services, allowing visitors to access key information without overwhelming the layout. Every graphical element—including buttons, headers, backgrounds, and navigation bars—was individually designed to match the company's branding rather than relying on standard web templates.

The result was a sophisticated, high-end corporate website that successfully communicated quality craftsmanship while demonstrating the advanced web design techniques that isandi CREATIONS was producing during the mid-2000s. It remains an excellent example of early premium corporate web design created before responsive frameworks and modern CMS platforms became common.
