The Sinhala edition of “Gotabaya”, written by Major General Kamal Gunaratne, was a significant book-design assignment in which I was responsible for both the cover illustration and layout.

The visual treatment was intentionally direct and restrained. A dominant portrait forms the central element of the cover, while the minimal background and typography allow the subject to remain the primary focus. The objective was to create a strong, immediately recognisable cover without unnecessary decorative elements.

My contribution is officially credited inside the published book as “Cover illustration and layout by: Isura Wickramarachchi (Desa)”, making this an important published work within my professional book-cover portfolio.
